Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of all services, products, and platforms operated by Montessori Makers Group LLC(“MMG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an Illinois limited liability company. By accessing or using any MMG service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

These Terms apply to all MMG offerings, including but not limited to: the MMG website, MatchHub, the Toolbox, the Montessori Makers Field Guide, Leadership Meridian, the MMG Institute, the Montessori Makers Residency, Montessori Makers Pilots Certification, the Studio, and the Montessori Makers Alignment Platform (MMAP). Some products have additional terms that apply alongside these.

1. Who Can Use MMG Services

Our services are available to:

• Individuals who are at least 18 years old
• Schools, organizations, and institutions accessing services on behalf of their staff or communities
• Montessori guides, educators, administrators, and school leaders using MMG professional development, hiring, or operational tools

By using our services, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.

2. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Payments for MMG products and services are processed through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you authorize MMG to charge your payment method for the amount shown at checkout.

• Digital products (Toolbox templates, frameworks, downloads) are delivered electronically upon payment. Because digital products are immediately accessible upon purchase, all sales are final. If you experience a technical issue preventing access, contact us within 7 days.
• Subscriptions (Field Guide, Leadership Meridian, MMAP school subscriptions, Pilots school seat passes) renew automatically at the stated interval. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
• Program enrollments (Residency, Institute programs, Pilots Certification) are governed by the enrollment terms communicated at the time of acceptance. Deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in your acceptance materials.
• Staffing services (Strategic Search, Interim Leadership placement) are governed by the engagement agreement provided at the start of the engagement. These Terms apply in the absence of a separate agreement.

3. Accounts and Access

Certain MMG services require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@montessorimakersgroup.org if you suspect unauthorized access.

Accounts and access credentials are non-transferable. You may not share, resell, or sublicense access to any MMG platform or program.

4. Intellectual Property

All MMG content — including curriculum materials, toolkits, templates, frameworks, lesson structures, written guides, platform features, branding, and website copy — is owned by Montessori Makers Group LLC and protected by copyright and applicable intellectual property law.

Purchasing or subscribing to an MMG product grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that product for your own professional or organizational purposes. You may not:

• Reproduce, republish, or redistribute MMG content without written permission
• Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit MMG materials
• Present MMG curriculum, frameworks, or content as your own original work in any commercial or professional context

Schools and organizations may use purchased toolkits and frameworks internally for staff development and operational purposes. Use in paid consulting, training, or advisory services delivered to third parties requires a license. Contact us to discuss licensing.

5. MatchHub and Hiring Services

MatchHub is a platform connecting Montessori schools with educators and candidates. By posting a role or submitting a candidate profile, you agree that:

• Information you submit is accurate and does not violate any confidentiality, employment, or contractual obligation
• MMG is not a party to any employment relationship formed through MatchHub and is not responsible for hiring decisions, outcomes, or disputes between schools and candidates
• Strategic Search and Interim Leadership placement are advisory services. Placement is not guaranteed. MMG’s role is to identify and recommend qualified candidates; final hiring decisions rest with the school.

6. Residency and Institute Programs

The Montessori Makers Residency (MMR) and Institute programs are professional development and credentialing programs. Enrollment is subject to application, acceptance, and program-specific terms communicated in your acceptance materials.

MMR is an independent credentialing program operated by Montessori Makers Institute, a division of Montessori Makers Group LLC. The credential issued upon program completion is an MMR credential. MMR is currently building toward MACTE accreditation; the current credential reflects the program’s design in alignment with MACTE standards.

Participation in MMR or Institute programs does not guarantee employment, licensure, or accreditation recognition by any third party.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use any MMG service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or malicious content
• Interfere with or disrupt the security or integrity of any MMG platform
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from any MMG platform without written permission
• Impersonate MMG, its staff, or any other person or organization
• Use MMG platforms in any way that could bring harm to MMG, its clients, or the Montessori community

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

MMG services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We do not warrant that any curriculum, framework, or advisory content will produce specific outcomes for your school or students.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Montessori Makers Group LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of MMG services, even if MMG has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

MMG’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid MMG in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Montessori Makers Group LLC and its officers, members, employees, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of MMG services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in that forum.

We encourage you to contact us first at info@montessorimakersgroup.org before initiating any formal dispute. Most issues can be resolved quickly.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of MMG services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers by email.
